Understanding exactly what you're paying for on your utility bill is important. The guide below, based on the example image of a bill, explains charges for each line item on your bill. 

Important considerations:

  • Electric rates have two seasons: Summer (July-October) and Non-Summer (November-June). View your Summer and Non-Summer electric rates in the Rates, Charges, and Fees document.
  • Rates change annually on January 1.

Commercial Utility Bills

If you're a commercial customer you may use the section above to better understand the utility bill; any unique charges on your commercial bill are dependent on your commercial utility rate and are explained in the Rates, Charges and Fees document.
